Nicki's Massive Attack

Ok Guys so Nicki Minaj debuted her new video “Massive Attack” ft Sean Garrett this past week. I actually got a chance to view the video today, and I have to admit I kind of like it. It might take some time to grow on me but I know I’m definitely feeling the fashions. So the military theme I told you gals all about last week are reflected in Nicki’s video. I posted a picture of behind the scene images of Nicki and our Favorite style Vixen Amber Rose. In the video; Nicki has on a great pair of army green boots that are Partnered with these ivory cut out leggings (im researching those, details to follow). These leggings are sick. Definitely take a look at the video, tell me your opinion. 

Inner G.I Jane Army Inspired

Designer Giuseppe Zanotti for Balmain, has managed to capture inspiration from the Army green, and Utilitarian trends for spring 210.This season Balmain has brought the Military Motif and translated them into tough girl chic heels. Balmain currently has two stunning pair of boots out for spring 2010. Style Vixen Amber rose was spotted in a pair of Balmain studded lace up in L.A recently.

Couture Style Vixens

Unless you’ve been locked away under a rock somewhere, you have heard the entire buzz about Lady Gaga’s newest video “Telephone”. In this video Gaga states her claim on being fearless in fashion; as she pulls inspiration from Material Girl Madonna. The video includes some sick outfit changes ranging from sunglasses covered in lit cigarettes, to Soda cans used as rollers. In one scene Gaga enters the prison yard in an sequins tube dress, layered in heavy Chains, all while wearing these sunglasses completely covered in burning cigarettes. The look totally spelled REBEL. Another scene displays Gaga in a heavily studded motorcycle jacket, with exaggerated eyebrows with Soda cans in her hair used as rollers.....WOW. Definitely a must see for all fashion followers. If you haven’t already seen it visit YouTube, or request it on 106 & Park. Lady gaga is a great example of a risk taking fashionista.

Spring Pulls

Here are some great finds that I located. Great cardigans in neutral colors, Lush romantic jewelry, Nude mod pumps, Great Tanks (wife beaters are a must have in every color), threw in a picture of these caged booties which are a great twist for the spring. Dare to Go NUDE this Spring

So guys! This week was fun filled; I spent days at my favorite retail shops perusing the spring line up. Btw this is a great time to go rack up on last season’s must haves, everything will be on sale. So as I ventured over numerous trend reports and compared merchandising displays at my favorite shops; I uncovered some really great finds. This season’s new haute color pallet resides in the family of Ivory tones, crisp white, pale nudes, and muted/diluted tones. These colors were prominent during the Academy Awards this past weekend, when starlets such as Jennifer Lopez and Charlize Thereon brought these colors to the red carpet. Luckily every day starlets don’t have to venture to Armani Prive or Dior for items in this stylish color scheme. My favorite local retailers like Zara, F21, and H&M have great pieces we can add to our own Couture closet for great prices. I grabbed some great finds to share. SO get Moving update your closet.
